Sonogram

We just got back from a fun appointment at the doctor. We got to see the baby waving its little arms and kicking its little legs. We even saw a teeny tiny hand. So cute! The nose is especially predominant. But we expected that. Alan and I both have narrow, straight noses.

The heartbeat is 168 bpm and everything is looking healthy and right on track. Oh! And we got to hear the heartbeat for the very 1st time. So cool.

Yooooo Hooooo. Can you hear me all the way across the freaking country? Ok, seriously, a state. or two. It FEELS like all the way across the country. You are missing lots of rain, and my success finding where the ants have all come from so they are now gone, and the FINISHED SWEATER, and i don't care WHAT you say, you can beg and plea for my sympathy but i don't ...oh wait, that's a song...anyway NO. More. Garter. Stitch. I have a new bunting pattern that has NO garter stitch and i am doing it anyway and the baby will appreciate it. The baby will turn to you and say "mother, WHY did you insist on that garter stitch 'thing' instead of stockinette? Just LOOK at this fabric! i will wear this ALWAYS until i grow out of it"
see? I can't even do a complete thought with you so far away. I hope they all appreciate you waaaaay over there.
Grace was wearing her bow today.
bye. sniff.

I can't believe you finished that whole baby sweater already! You know that's my very 1st piece of clothing for this baby. It will be worn to bits (even the garter stitch part) and then will go into the save forever box and I'll pull that box out and will be amazed that Baby Elmo ever fit into that little bit of a sweater.

Give Grace extra love for me. I miss her terribly.

And I miss you, too!

i just finished a BOOTIE!!! To match! It took me about an hour IF you don't count the WTF factor because the directions failed to mention an integral (math word take note) part of the construction.
It is A D O R A B L E and i lylelovett and i can't wait to do the second one. Perhaps this baby would like booties for the hands also?
If i am as jazzed about this GARTER stitch detailed bootie, can you imagine how excited i will be to do the smurf feet?!???
ps i have to be anonymous because 1. i do not have an identity google, blogger, or otherwise, and 2. i am skeered to open an account.
