The Ocean

Cortland loved the beach for about 1 minutes. Thing is at home we have this white noise machine that sounds like the ocean. Oops. It's like Pavlov's dogs around here! Zoink, he's out like a light!

Cortland's 1st time in the ocean.

Alan said he was leaning away from because he was sinking in the sound because of the 21 lb weight on his arm. Sure Alan.

Mommy found the baby a new chew toy.

Physical Therapy

C had his 6 month physical therapy evaluation today and everything is right on track. We go back in 3 months to make sure he's still on course.

Shopping Finds

I rearranged the furniture in the living room so Cortland will have more room to play. Every time I turned around he would have scooch onto the hardwood floor. I thought he was going to break a heel he kicks so hard.

There's now room for his new train set. I got everything for just $10.00 at a consignment sale today. He put it together all by himself.

I also got a baby version of wack-a-mole, a couple Dr. Seuss books and a wooden puzzle.

I have to tell ya, I love the wack-a-mole game. That one might have to be mine.

It's sad to think that it's time to take down the baby swing. He's so big now that it sort-of creaks when he's in it, like it's pleading for mercy. I'm not ready for him to be too big for his swing. We are having so much fun and it's going by too fast.

Random

We had Thai last night for Alan's birthday supper and I swear on a stack of Dr. Seuss books that this morning Cortland's diaper smelled like red curry and coconut milk. Ahhhh, the benefits of breastfeeding.

Random

My dreams lately are incredibly detailed. They are like watching movies with plot twists and red herrings. My brain is writing stories without me. If only I could train my hand to take notes in my sleep.

Random Thought

Last night while feeding Cortland at around 3 am I finally thought of something you would use geometry for in a real life. You could use it to find water lines buried in the yard. Yes? Or you could just use a buried treasure map. But the guy that ran the pipes would have had to make one at the time of pipe burial and I haven't met a pipe burier yet that has enough imagination or the time to draw a detailed map with pictures and clues and riddles all over it.

Another Milestone

All of the action takes place in the first few seconds, but I kept recording because he is cute. Typical stage-mom.
